The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and work on exciting projects for a global leader in the healthcare and clinical research industry. This role involves developing and enhancing scalable data management systems, optimizing data quality, and supporting cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful data-driven initiatives, laying the foundation for transformative analytics in healthcare.​

Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable data management and processing systems that support data-driven decision-making.

Ensure data quality and reliability through rigorous testing, validation, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Monitor and optimize system performance by troubleshooting, conducting regular tests, and integrating new features as needed.

Collaborate with analytics engineers and other stakeholders to improve data processing guidelines, standards, and foundational procedures.

Organize and analyze raw data, evaluating new data sources for integration and improving data collection systems.

Provide technical support by promptly addressing system issues and ensuring uninterrupted data services.

Support strategic initiatives by collaborating with the Data & Digital Delivery Manager on high-impact projects in healthcare data analytics.
Are you the one?
​What we are looking for:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience in data engineering, particularly with platform and cloud infrastructure.

Proficiency in SQL, DBT, a high-level programming language (such as Python or Java), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Comfortable working in a regulated setting where computerized system validation is essential.

Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken and Dutch/French.
